My name is Josh and I am an Early Years specialist from the UK, living and working in Shanghai, China. I focus on introducing dialogic and metacognitive practices to young learners and work closely with Dialogue Works to ensure that children as young as three are exposed to the wonders of a truly philosophical education. I am proud to work with teachers of various backgrounds and teaching pedagogies to fully embed the Thinking Moves within not only their own classrooms, but within the wider school network; and indeed with school leaders to ensure high-quality, competent TM management. I do this every day in my role as curriculum manager and look to extend this to as many others EY campuses as possible. Because I believe that it is never too early to introduce metacognition to children, I am excited to continue my journey as a TM trainer with Dialogue Works and offer a keen and unique insight into practicing philosophy and metacognition with young learners. And of course, I would love to share these insights with you! The future is ever coming closer and in the age of AI, there never before has been such a need for quality metacognitive programs such as Thinking Moves; I look forward to the incredible innovations ahead for the Thinking Moves project and am thrilled to be part of the journey.
