Richard Rigby began his primary school teaching career in the UK in 2001. An accomplished and experienced classroom teacher and leader of learning. Richard has worked for over 20 years in various schools both in the UK and internationally. For the past decade, he has called the British School Jakarta (Indonesia) home, where he resides with his family and currently is the primary school thinking skills leader. Richard is passionate about equipping children with the skills they need to think for themselves, recognise and explain their own thoughts, and come to their own reasonable truths and conclusions. He is an active educator, proponent and advocate for Thinking Moves (metacognition) and Philosophy for Children (P4C).
