Topsy is a teacher and former Assistant Head and Writing Lead, with extensive experience using oracy and P4C to transform classroom practice. Her work focuses on classroom participation techniques that ensure every learner has a voice, and on maximising pupil-to-pupil dialogue — a powerful and often overlooked resource.

Topsy is known for her practical, engaging and highly interactive approach to staff development in oracy and P4C, including Talk Audits and live classroom coaching. She is an associate of Oracy Cambridge and has worked as a lecturer and trainer across a range of educational settings.

She also writes a popular blog on oracy and classroom dialogue, sharing practical strategies and reflections with educators each week.

Based in West Yorkshire, UK, she works nationally and internationally.
